Quality Assurance Technician 6

 

Functions

Responsibilities

The essential functions and key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:

•  Under limited supervision, performs and may be certified in a wide range of complex inspections. 

•  Performs in-process inspection of (mount, bond, solder, coat, mark, can weld and seal) and/or finished production assemblies for conformance to quality assurance standards. 

•  Working from final assembly drawings, engineering change notices or established operating procedures, determines acceptance, rejection or rework requirements for unit. 

•  Performs acceptance prior to shipment and supports customer source. 

•  Must have the ability to understand and accomplish job requirements by means of oral and written instructions; be able to effectively complete paper work associated with job.

General:

•   Typically requires high school education or equivalent, work in a team environment, meet all attendance requirements and demonstrate willingness to learn new operations.

  • •   Three to five years manufacturing experience in inspection of standard to complex electronic in line and final assemblies. 

  • •   Must be able to determine acceptance or rejection criteria, perform bond pulls, ball and die shear, element evaluation (solder ability, steam age and lead integrity)

  • •   Perform acceptance to ship and audit assembly process.

  • •   Ability to lead development projects and work in a teaming environment with customers, suppliers, and internal resources

  • •   Strong computer skills and proficient in MS Office applications

  • •   Experience in a clean room environment a plus

  • •   Excellent organizational and communication skills 

  • •   Excellent analytical and statistical skills and experience

  • •   Flexible/adaptable

Preferred Additional Skills

  • •   MIL-Specs (Mil-STD-750, MIL-STD-883, Mil-PRF-19500, Mil-PRF-38534)

Manufacturing Technician 2

Under general supervision, works with at least 2 repetitive electronic assembly operations on components or sub-assemblies and consistently performs requirements. Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity and familiarity with industrial tools, equipment, hand tools , and microscopes.

The essential functions and key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:

  • •   A minimum of one year experience in a manufacturing assembly or production environment is preferred.

  • •   Experienced in automated and/or manual die attach, automated and/or manual wire bonding is a plus.

  • •   Must be able to read and follow build instructions, including understanding of process documents, Bill of Materials and assembly drawings and complete paperwork as required.

  • •   Basic computer skills are a necessity.

•   Must be able to work overtime if required, on short notice. Willing to train candidate that demonstrates a willingness to learn new skills and accept new job assignments as required.

Senior Buyer

 

Functions

Responsibilities

The essential functions and key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:

  • •   Utilizing the Company’s ERP system and working closely with the Planner, determine material to be purchased to support manufacturing jobs.

  • •   Negotiate best prices with vendors.

  • •   Interprets and communicates purchasing procedures and policies to departments, vendors and staff.

  • •   Expedite late orders or orders that need to be pulled in to accommodate a customer’s request for expedited delivery.

  • •   Work closely with Quality maintaining vendor score cards and working any rejections, SCAR’s, etc.

  • •   Participates in ordering process supplies and material for engineering.

  • •   Need to assist with year- end inventory in the stockroom

  • •   Be able to assist Sales with cost proposals on new projects

  • •   Previous experience with Epicor software a plus. 

  • •   Continually evaluate the purchasing processes for efficiency and effectiveness.

  • •   Evaluate current customer base and facilitate strategies for continuous improvement of customer relationships to include technical support and overall responsiveness.

  • •   Implements policy for tracking and coordination of purchasing.

Requirements

General:

  • •   Bachelor's degree in related field AND three years of buying experience; OR, Seven years of buying experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

  • •   Requires some travel.

  • •   Applicant needs to have excellent computer skills as well as organizational skills. 

  • •   Must be able to multi-task. 

  • •   Requires the ability to understand and adhere to all laws pertaining to procurement, contracts, breach by contract, etc.

  • •   Writes and distributes highly technical bid invitations or requests for proposal, receives and analyzes quotes, bids, and proposals, and awards the contract.
