Wafer Fab / Operator / Technician

Perform semiconductor processes to manufacture Silicon phototransistors and Gallium Arsenide light emitting diodes. Job requires working in a clean room environment, handling chemicals, microscope inspections and processing wafers.

Functions

Responsibilities

The essential functions and key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:

•    Process wafers in one of the following areas: photo masking, diffusion, wet etch, wafer dicing, metallization, inspection.

•    Work with semi-automatic equipment and manual wet benches and follow processing specifications in detail.

•    Setting up (batch) starts, processing wafers and microscope inspections.

•    Data entry and documentation of processing lots.

•    Basic personal computer and keyboarding skills for the accurate input of data.

•    Update documentation (work instructions) as required.

•    Work with Process/Equipment Engineers to troubleshoot process issues as needed.

•    Perform hands on work in a clean room environment.

•    Maintain engineering notebooks for process experimentation.

•    A self-motivated individual that can work independently with minimal supervision or equally well in a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

General:

•    Must have hands-on wafer fab process/equipment experience.

•    Must be able to adhere to all clean room and safety requirements.

•    Accuracy in documentation and data entry is very important in this role.

•   Should possess an excellent work ethic in terms of attendance, organization and team skills; must be flexible and able to adjust to changing goals, objectives and policies of the company.

•    Must be able to stand for long hours in a clean room environment, moving from workstation to workstation, and extend arm movements while handling wafers.

•    Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and demonstrate excellent manual dexterity.

•    A self-motivated individual that can work independently with minimal supervision or equally well in a collaborative team environment.

Experience and Education include:

•    Associate Degree preferred.

•    Prefer 5-10 years of semiconductor wafer fab experience.

•    Experience in a clean room environment.

•    Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

•    Good computer skills.

Maintenance Tech

 

Functions

Responsibilities

The essential functions and key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:

  • •   Resolve and repair minor plumbing issues.

  • •   Perform minor electrical tasks such as replacing light fixtures and ballasts.

  • •   Equipment relocation.

  • •   Installation of tile and carpet. Installation of ceiling tiles.

  • •   Dry wall installation and painting.

  • •   Air filter replacement.

  • •  Chemical replacement and storage.

  • •  Ability to pass hazardous waste handling classes.

  • •  Responsible for of the outside grounds / parking lot clean up.

  • •  Sign logs and verify proper operation of various equipment.

  • • Assist maintenance tech’s with troubleshooting and repair of various equipment (air conditioners, vacuum pumps, etc…).

  • • Basic ground routine maintenance and repair of office and manufacturing facilities.

    • Routine equipment preparation.

    • Pay close attentions to work instruction detail.

    • Acceptable attendance.

    • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

•    A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a maintenance role working in a manufacturing assembly or production environment is preferred.

•    Must be able to read and follow maintenance instructions.

•    Ability to understand processes of dangerous chemicals and building requirements that help ensure OSHA compliance procedures.

•    Basic computer skills are a necessity.

•    Must be able to work 1st shift, overtime, and Saturdays (at least twice a month – half days) as required, on short notice.

•    Must pass a respirator physical, able to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment as required.

•    Be able to work in tight spaces, work in a clean room environment, climb a ladder and lift on routine basis 35 – 50 pounds, have a valid Texas driver’s license and possess own transportation and be willing to travel to various distributors and vendors to pick up parts, and to purchase supplies.

•    Typically requires a high school education or equivalent, computer literate, capable of searching for parts on the internet and be familiar with word and excel, work in a team environment, meet all attendance requirements, capable of assisting in completion of City, State and Federal regulatory reports.
